88 - 90 Chevy OBD I Code Reader - Coolant Temp Sensor Replacement
1988 - 1990 Chevy OBD I Codes 14, 15 and 45 Cleared up by replacing 1 sensor. My 88 Chevrolet truck 5.0L engine was stumbling, dying and black smoke was coming out of the exhaust pipe. The problem was the coolant temperature sensor was failing. The other problems were I was an hour from home and it was Sunday so no parts stores were open in that town.
