PS3 Emulation Was Tested On PS5 And The Results Are Interesting

PS3's complicated cell processor has been plaguing Sony for years when it comes to an official emulation solution. Surely the company would have offered it on PS5 it was a viable financial option that didn't use up too many resources. But evidently it's been that for years. RPCS3 however has made some incredible progress in all that time though. And with a recent PS5 jailbreak which allows Linux to be installed on the system, we finally have some real PS3 emulation testing done on an actual PS5. Granted the system is running Linux so it's not in the fully optimized PS5 console container. But still! This is our closest representation yet to answer the question of how viable is it? Turns out, it's still a problem for some games, and not so much for others! Will Sony ever offer it? Ehh for my money, that's a PS6 thing. They gotta sell that bad boy somehow.
