CASTELLFOLLIT DE LA ROCA EN AUTOCARAVANA: El pueblo colgado en el abismo

Welcome to a new road trip! On this motorhome journey, we travel to the Garrotxa region to discover Castellfollit de la Roca, one of the most spectacular, photographed, and magical villages in all of Catalonia. We begin our tour with a breathtaking panoramic view of this unique village, perched improbably atop a basalt cliff over 50 meters high. We stroll through its historic center and approach the emblematic Old Church of Sant Salvador, which, although we find it closed (a classic traveler's experience!), we'll show you in detail. We descend to the foot of the imposing cliff, where the Fluvià River joins the Toronell. A place of stunning natural beauty that also holds a fascinating history: these same waters and canals were used by the "maquis" (Spanish resistance fighters) in secret during the post-war period, seeking safe routes in their fight for freedom. We finished by visiting the town's new church and saying goodbye with some spectacular aerial views that will take your breath away. A trip where nature, stone, and history come together on wheels!
