Maiden Flight 40% Piper Pawnee

Maiden flight of a 40% Piper Pawnee - May 16, 2011. Powered by 3W 140 and tips the scales at around 66 Lbs with fuel and spray tanks empty. Owner - Builder - Pilot... is Jim Ellis of the OK Sooner Squadron, Guthrie, OK. Does have working spray booms and Nav lights. Electronics are all JR 2.4. This is a totally scratch built project done competely by Jim Ellis from blown up Hostetler plans. LMA paperwork is in the system to meet the write off for the AMA Rules and Regs for Aircraft over 55 Lbs. Update (although very tardy) the LMA paperwork was signed off within 5 days of Jim's Maiden flight. This Pawnee is legal at any AirShow in the country according to AMA Rules & Regs.
