Why BPA Changes your Hormones
Before it was used in plastics, BPA was added to animal feed to fatten up animals. It was actually used as a synthetic estrogen for humans for a short period of time before it was replaced by a chemical called DES. Now we are using this estrogen-like compound at a rate of over 12 billion pounds per year. It is found in our water, our food, our air, and in our bodies. It turns out the sweating and eating broccoli can help us get rid of the BPA we are exposed to.
