Thank you for always watching! This time, on Saturday, May 16th, we went to Nobiru Surf in Higashimatsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture, targeting flathead and flounder. Last time (May 3rd), the sea was a bit murky due to the water used for rice planting, but there was a large stock of fish, and we had excellent results, including catching some nice-sized flathead early in the season! Therefore, this time, we entered the market with high hopes, thinking, "The water has cleared up, the sea is calm, the tide and weather are perfect! This is sure to be a great catch!"...but when we got there, we were met with an unexpectedly tough situation... None of the other anglers were catching anything either, and a grueling period of silence ensued. Even though the high season is just beginning, there are days like this when surf fishing, where you're at the mercy of nature... Never giving up, we persevered, changing our tactics and lures to try and squeeze out a fish, and as a result, we managed to catch a flathead and a sole!
