Last time, we had to evacuate in a hurry after receiving a tsunami warning. Our trip, which was originally planned to take us to Sendai via National Route 6, had to change plans. On this day, we decided to head from Fukushima towards Yamagata. We left the Fukushima roadside station, passed through Yonezawa, and arrived in Inawashiro. We spent some much-needed time relaxing at an RV park we had hastily booked. We enjoyed a quiet Tohoku night, gathered around a campfire. It was a different day from the hectic previous day; a more relaxed day of our road trip.
