• Как выбрать саженцы плодовых деревьев Как... NEZHENKA Plum. Not every variety receives such a warm name. It's well-deserved: firstly, the fruit's appearance and size are quite large (up to 35g), round, delicate red, and non-split. Secondly, the flesh is melting, juicy, yellow, and has a pleasant plum flavor. The pit is small and separates easily from the flesh. The short stalk detaches easily from the fruit. Ripens early, in mid-August. After ripening, the plums quickly fall off, so it's best to harvest on time. The fruits do not split. This plum blooms exceptionally profusely and beautifully in the second ten days of May. The tree is low-growing (up to 2.5 m). The crown is spherical. The shoots are straight and medium thick. Productivity is high – 30-40 kg per tree! With partial self-fertility, up to 15% of flowers are fertilized. To encourage the tree to produce more ovaries, pollinators should be planted nearby. The wood is highly winter-hardy, and the flower buds are moderately resistant to low temperatures. It is immune to clasterosporium. The next variety is the VOLZHSKAYA KRASAVITSA plum. The Volzhskaya Krasavitsa plum is an early-ripening variety. The fruits of this cultivar have a juicy, soft texture. They are widely used in various desserts. This plum is characterized by good winter hardiness, which makes it easy to grow in cold climates. The fruits are large (weighing up to 30–35 g), round, slightly elongated, with a well-defined ventral suture. They are purple with a red tint. The skin is covered with a waxy coating. The pulp peels off easily. The flesh is very juicy, yellow-red, sweet or very sweet depending on ripeness; the juice is colorless. The pit is small and easily separated from the flesh. The tree is medium-sized, with a rounded, raised, moderately dense crown. The bark is smooth and gray. The variety is partially self-fertile. In addition to all the above characteristics, it has another important advantage: it is resistant to most diseases and insect pests. The next variety in my top list is the SVETLYACHOK plum. SVETLYACHOK is a plum tree with yellow fruit. This very popular variety is characterized by many positive qualities. It is easy to care for, produces large, tasty fruits, is frost-hardy, and is resistant to various diseases. This variety deserves special attention. The plums are round, very large (up to 40 g), greenish-yellow, sweet, and slightly tart, satisfying any taste. They are resistant to cracking. The skin is thin, with a waxy coating. The pits are small, easily separated from the pulp. The tree has a medium-dense, oval-shaped crown with spreading branches. The shoots are thin, brown, and usually straight. Flowering occurs early. It bears fruit annually, consistently beginning in the third year after planting. The plums ripen gradually, so harvesting occurs in several stages. Peak fruiting occurs from the last week of July to the first ten days of August. The yield is high. The variety is drought-resistant and winter-hardy. It has a high resistance to major diseases, particularly moniliosis, rust, and clasterosporium. Pollination is required. I'd like to tell you about the "President" plum variety. The fruits of this plum variety are above average in size, almost round, weighing on average about 50 g, but can be larger on young trees. The flesh is firm, juicy, yellowish or greenish in color, but the juice is practically colorless. The flavor is good, the fruits are sweet, and the pit is elongated and easily separated from the flesh. And finally, the "Golden Ball" plum, which completes my top selection, is one of the most popular yellow plum varieties. Gardeners choose this variety for its sweet fruits with a unique aroma and its ease of care. This compact tree grows to an average height of 2.5–3 m. The maximum possible length is 4 m. The crown is sparse, which is beneficial because excess foliage does not obstruct the light reaching the fruits. The bark is smooth and brown. The tree also has few, spreading branches. A single specimen can weigh up to 40–50 g. The stalk is firmly attached to the fruit. The skin is fairly dense and shiny, with a barely noticeable seam on the side. The fruits are covered with a waxy coating. The skin is primarily yellow when ripe. A pinkish blush is clearly visible on the fruit. The subcutaneous tissue is also yellow, soft, and slightly fibrous. The flavor is delicate and sweet, with slightly sour notes, reminiscent of pineapple or peach. The pit separates easily from the flesh.
