TORRES DE LA PEDRIZA DESDE CANTO COCHINO | SIERRA DE GUADARRAMA-MADRID

Ascent to the Third Tower of the Torres de la Pedriza, in the Sierra de Guadarrama mountains of Madrid, from the Canto Cochino parking area. Classic route along the PR-M1 trail to the Dehesilla pass, the Ventana pass, and the Miradero pass, descending via the PR-M2 trail to Canto Cochino. A challenging route with significant elevation gain and length, requiring adherence to the yellow and white trail markers and familiarity with GPS tracks: the terrain is labyrinthine and the painted markers are sometimes difficult to follow. The climb to the Third Tower requires using your hands in some sections, so it is not recommended for people with vertigo or those unaccustomed to rock climbing. There are a few cairns marking the route, although it is not very obvious. Report filmed in August 2020.
