Jobs, careers, travels, businesses, homes and even someone very dear to them. Same thing happend to me back starting 2015. I got scammed by someone I've known for 15 years at least (he was like a real brother to me coz my folks are in the US) in effect i lost my 2 of my cars in buy and sell, the lot in Pangasinan was pawned to me and it didn't end there. The year after I lost my Father to cancer then on his 40th day my youngest cousin on my mother side lost to septic shock then a year after 2017, my Grandmother passed away also and her own son, my uncle (the father of my cousin whom passed away a year before) few months after to cancer too. 💔 💔💔 It just pains me so much that I ended up having panic and anxiety attacks and trying to accept how could this possibly happened to me. No money, no home, no gigs. No one I can lean on to. Now here we are in 2020 feels like the same shithole I was into but on a different level coz it's much harder to make ends meet since our movements are so limited. But I was reminded of this very special night... I'm just soooooooooo grateful up to this day with these guys inspite their busy schedules and budget constraints of playing for me on my birthday salubong gig! So here's the story of 7.11.17 (well we started on the 10th! 🤭✌️😂) Fun Fact: This is my FAVORITE opening song with my band everytime we have gigs which happen once in a blue moon... 🤷‍♂️ Mike Caleda on keys came from an audition at RWM considering the time and traffic congestion going to Cainta was not even an excuse so to encourage me on this special night! Remembering the time when we met at his humble abode waaaayyyyy back in 2003!!! Alien ka talaga sa galing!!! Salamat sa mga akordeng tinuro mo saken simula't sapul hanggang sa matuto akong sumipra ng maayos! 😂😍✌ Rickson Ruiz on drums also a plays an important role in making my songs legit as you can hear it from here plus, he's been doin backing vocals effortlessly just because he loves the songs I'm playing and with that, just humbled for this guy whom plays for big time local artists! Martin Nievera, GARY V, Regine Velasquez etc. Joel B. Guarin on bass! That's all folks! 😂 Kidding aside... Joel is my mentor since 2006 or 2007 when he got back from his Singapore stint for he alone molded me into a true passionate musician. Aside from that, when times are tough, he never fails to encourage me and back me up even financially! So utangan niyo na siya!!!! 😂😂😂 My basketball buddies Benley Uy and Don Borcena. My fave jammer of all the jammers in the universe Owen Alarcon! Last but not the least, husband and wife Jomal Linao (Kamikazee, Talata) and Reyg Linao (Talata) for allowing me to play at their marvelous bar Zili Nasi! Gaaaadddddd I miss this place especially their food! I appreciate the time you guys reading this up to this point and if I can encourage you in anyway today, no matter how hard, tough and unclear of what the future is, always look up above!
