Operation Epic Fury: The Navy Jets Leading the Fight

In Operation Epic Fury, American naval air power is not being driven by one miracle aircraft. It is being driven by a system. In this video, we break down the four Navy aircraft playing key roles in the fight: the F-35C Lightning II, the F/A-18 Super Hornet, the EA-18G Growler, and the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye. Together, these four airframes form a layered combat team that can penetrate defended airspace, jam enemy sensors, carry the bulk of the strike load, and manage the battlespace overhead. We also take a look at the dual-carrier architecture behind the operation, including the roles of the USS Gerald R. Ford and the USS Abraham Lincoln, and how those two carriers function as shield and sword in a modern naval air campaign. This is the story of how these aircraft work together, why each one matters, and how modern carrier warfare depends not just on technology, but on the sailors, maintainers, and flight deck crews who keep the whole machine moving.
