Als Teil der traditionellen Thai-Massage konzentriert sich die Thai Fußmassage auf die Stimulation bestimmter Druckpunkte der Füße, mit dem Ziel das Wohlbefinden des ganzen Körpers positiv zu beeinflussen. Dabei dienen die Füße als Mittler zu den inneren Organen des Körpers. Unter den Füßen befinden sich die sogenannten Reflexzonen, wobei jede Reflexzone bestimmten Teilen des Körpers zugeordnet werden kann. Durch die Massage der Fußoberfläche lassen sich Signale zum inneren Körper senden, also Verbindungen zu den inneren Organen herstellen. Über Berührungen an der Hautoberfläche können schmerzlindernde und heilende Effekte erzielt werden, die das gesamte Wohlbefinden positiv beeinflussen können. Dazu werden die insgesamt sechs Reflexzonen des Fußes mit bestimmten Druck- und Dehntechniken stimuliert, wobei der Körper schon nach einer Sitzung mit Durchlässigkeit und Entspannung reagiert.
