The fraudulent reproduction of certificates has increased considerably in recent years, posing a threat to stakeholders in education policy. It is cheated not only by fake certificates by employers or universities, but also by students who are cheated by them. While at the national level, it is a serious concern for national security, all other stakeholders are also affected at different levels. for example, 1. Fake certificates / documents can be used to aid in illegal entry into the country, identity card like voter ID card / Aadhaar card facility (example: mastermind behind the serial blast of 13 September 2008) Used fake certificates to get admission in famous universities of India) 2. Individuals who use bogus academic credentials reduce the perceived quality of graduates of an institution, may perform poorly in business, and may demonstrate a willingness to commit fraud for personal gain (e.g. : The UP government found that more than 3,000-4,000 teachers enrolled in the state's Basic Education Department have fake educational qualification certificates). 3. Fake certificates can delay the admission process to foreign universities (according to a recent survey by the UK's National Qualifications Agency, it was found that only one in four universities entered university to obtain fake qualification documents Sensation). Ensure the authenticity of the university / institute The most effective way to identify fake degrees is to obtain a confirmation of the university's address. For an Indian university, university details have to be crossed on the University Grants Commission (UGC) website (https://www.ugc.ac.in/) and the National Academic Depository (NAD) (https: // nad). gov.in/). 2. Inspect the certificate design It is important to observe the design of the certificate. Actual degrees and certificates from genuine educational institutions usually used specialized paper. If you found them printed on normal paper, it is more likely that it is fake. Check closely for spelling mistakes. 3. Check for anti-counterfeiting security features To prevent tampering or reproduction by copier machines, most real educational institutions will have some physical authentication features such as micro-text lines, UV invisible inks, watermarks, security holograms, anti-scanning inks, and more.
