DIY Antique Style Lathe Bench Part 1 (improved)
Hello, Calvin here, welcome to my first video in which I will be showing the building of a lathe bench I designed in FreeCad. I cannot recommend FreeCad, it's very difficult. I picked up a 1940's Craftsman lathe that was covered in dirt and rust. I was missing the tail stock and change gears and it did not come with anything to put it on. That is what I am making this bench for. It has a unique design reminiscent of it's time. The chip tray on top has a slope to it so all the coolant and oil will flow to the front and collect into a trough. this will be useful with cleaning and flood coolant if I decide to use any. The metal was all ordered from a local supplier and was all CNC plasma cut by them. Thank you to: BnB Metal Suburban Pipe and Steel Thank you for watching.
