【ご報告】愛猫の体調についてお伝えしたいことがあります。

Our black cat, Kuma, has been diagnosed with kidney failure. 💦 Actually, he's been vomiting since last Saturday, and at the time we didn't know who was vomiting. He vomited again on Sunday, and we discovered it was Kuma. He's also being treated for cystitis, and we thought he might be at risk of dehydration, so we took him to the doctor on Monday and he was given an IV drip. After that, he started losing his appetite, and the next day he stopped eating completely, so we took him to the doctor again and his blood test results showed he had kidney failure. We're not sure if it's related to the kidney failure, but it seems his loss of appetite is due to a fever. He has a high fever of over 40°C, and we've been giving him fever-reducing injections, but his temperature has been hovering around 40°C every day. Our current goal is to get the fever down. Unless the fever goes down, he won't be able to eat or drink, and he'll never be able to escape his lethargic state. 💦 He's not eating, so I won't be recording it on video, but we are force-feeding him with a syringe. We're also giving him water with a syringe, but he's drinking some on his own. Since he's not eating, he's not pooping, but he's still urinating frequently. I'm just glad that he's urinating. Also, they say it's still impossible to determine whether the kidney failure is acute or chronic, but since it happened quite suddenly, I'm not sure, even though I'm an amateur, that it might not be acute (he had a blood test two months ago and there were no abnormalities). Because of the vomiting, although mom was sleeping with Kuma in the video, mom and dad now take turns sleeping together at night. Kuma has always preferred to sleep in the laundry room, so we keep the door closed so the other pups don't disturb him. It's not a contagious disease, so we're taking it easy, but we're letting him rest on his own. And since I want him to rest in peace, I try to keep him company during the day as much as possible. I don't want to capture him looking exhausted, so from now on I'll only film him when he's a little lively or capturing parts of his daily life. He had been to the hospital a few days before the vomiting incident, and since he visits the hospital fairly frequently, I think it was an early detection and treatment. He will be going to the hospital for IV drips (infusion therapy) for a while.
