In 2015, Thompson helped lead the Warriors to their first NBA Championship since 1975, and was a key contributor in the Warriors' 2017 and 2018 titles. He sustained an ACL injury in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals and missed the entirety of the 2019–20 and 2020–21 seasons.
