Syd Barrett and Pink Floyd - Memories from Two Friends. Matthew Scurfield, and Ian (Imo) Moore

Recollections of growing up with Syd Barrett, David Gilmour and Roger Waters, from two of their childhood friends. Matthew Scurfield grew up in one of the finest areas of Cambridge in a house with a value (in 2008) of more than two million pounds. Ian Moore grew up in one of the most deprived areas of Cambridge in a street with a reputation for criminals and low-life. A place where the council housed its most difficult tenants. Recorded during the City Wakes events held at Borders bookshop, they both speak candidly about those early years. How they met and became close friends with Syd, David and Roger. Ian also talks about meeting Syd when he had moved to London. For more info you can check out Matthew’s book, I Could Be Anyone. You will also hear members of the audience recall their memories of Pink Floyd.
