Sara shows examples of two projects -- a stretch terry hoodie and an anti-pill fleece hat -- which didn't use toppers on the embossed design stitched on them. She then shows how to stitch out an embossed design on a piece of fleece cut to the dimensions of becoming a hat band. On this embroidery, Sara uses a wash-away pen to mark positioning, then adds a topper to make sure the non-embossed parts around the embroidery will really "pop."
