New Years celebrations 2026

Let 2026 be the year you move forward despite uncertainty and choose courage over comfort. May you find joy in the journey, strength in the unknown, and motivation in every new beginning. One step at a time. While the celebrations are beautiful to watch, there also is a darker side to these celebrations leading up to the ban of fireworks. Some people will die and others will get seriously injured because of accidents with this fireworks. Some of them innocent bystanders. Emergency responders are getting attacked by rioting people and there is a lot of property damage too. When i am writing this down, i did get an NL Alert. Which is a message that is sent out to every phone by the government in case of emergencies. It stated that emergency services were overloaded and that calls should only be made in life-threatening situations. A message that i've never seen before. The emergency services scale up their systems just for this very moment, so its not that they did not expect an increase in requests.
