Autumn Joy Sedum (Sedum 'Autumn Joy')

Sedum Autumn Joy is a gorgeous, easy perennial that thrives in hot sun and dry gardens. This succulent has thick leaves and upright stems that get to be about 1.5-2’ tall. In mid-summer it begins to form flower buds in clusters along the tops of the stems and those flower buds open slowly changing from pale green to pale pink to dark pink as the flowers open through late summer and early fall. In winter, the flower clusters dry to a rusty brown and can be left up for winter interest or cut back to the ground. Bees and butterflies love these flowers, and this easy-to-grow plant brings a lot of joy to the garden (not just in Autumn).
