I’m Klaus Bösch, an Austrian sand artist known as KB The Sandman. In the mid-eighties I was creative with photography, painting and music. In 1986, a good friend of mine handed me a Sand Picture. It took me away into a fantasy world and fascinated me so much that I suddenly decided to adapt this art form and quit all other creative activities. When in 1988 I started making Sand Pictures, the technique was still primitive. I searched, tested and improved all self-taught, added new materials and brought the concept to the new and outstanding standard you can enjoy with KB Sand Art. Sand Pictures are perfect for relaxation and meditation. I let the sand tell stories of the world and our earth’s long history which is stored in the mineral’s memory. The result is always the same: first, you relax, then you get excited. And, between those two sensations, creativity appears.
