The R1’s Grandfather - FZR1000 Restoration - EP1 | Full Teardown

I'm finally able to get into the real teardown and begin the restoration of my FZR1000. Can you see where the R1 came from? I can! Chris tears down these old bikes and rebuilds engines from old GSXRs to the FZRs of many different flavours. Tom has finished restoring his FZR EXUP and is now working on a Kawasaki ZX7R. JH-Tech gets really creative with aluminum case repairs, engine rebuilding from scratch and awesome restorations of other vintage Yamaha sport bikes. Rock on guys!! For this old fart, removing the engine is next up on the hit list. It's making good power but it blows out blue smoke on startup so I know she's gonna be needing some top-end work.
