It's the clash of the premium sedans: Mercedes E-Class vs BMW 5-Series vs Audi A6 vs Lexus ES. Quite expensive, high quality, a lot of driving comfort - and they indeed all come close. Who could be the winner? We'll find out in this special episode. So which one shall it be? The biggest comfort focus still has the Mercedes E-Class with air suspension - suspension wise. However the seating comfort is better with the Audi A6, BMW 5-Series and Lexus ES. The 5-Series now offers the high-grade perforated Sensatec seats which are segment leading. As for driving fun, BMW 5-Series and Audi A6 lead the way. The Lexus ES now also has a better user interface, and they also offer the very nice NuLuxe sustainable leatherette seats in so many different colors - especially the F Sport seats are very comfortable also for tall drivers. All these exclusive vehicles give you a great sense of sophistication, no doubt. Lexus is most famous for its reliability. That’s the most important factor for it. If driving fun is more important, the Germans rather take over. Me personally, I would get a BMW 5-Series with 6-cylinder or 6-cylinder PHEV and the new perforated Sensatec seats. I appreciate the driving fun and the cockpit layout. Second pick would be the Audi A6 due to its very good all-round features; however it is not available without animal skin seats in some markets. The Lexus ES is a buy if you want to buy it and keep it for a very very long time. The E-Class is still sophisticated and exclusive, but to me the choice still remains with the 5-Series and the A6 and I would check where I can get a better deal. What do you think about my choice?
