Glitter, shimmer and cowgirl boots: Inside the World Dance Masters line dance championship

The World Dance Masters (WDM) Line Dance Championships is one of the most highly anticipated events in the calendar year – a competitive and social event celebrating the talents of dancers around the world. This year, 22 countries were represented at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens over the three-day event – and there were a LOT of cowgirl boots on show! City Cowgirl caught up with event organiser Nicola Lafferty, instructors and award-winning dancers Gary O’ Reilly and Ronnie DeBenedetta, and Reuben and Rachel from Ballroom Bling, to find out what it’s all about. If you’d like to compete in World Dance Masters 2019, WDM line dance workshops are being held this September and everyone is welcome: Scotland (Sunday 2nd September with Nicola Helen) Northern Ireland (Saturday 8th September with Nicola Helen England – Midlands (Sunday 9th September with Stevenson Jen) England – London area (Sunday 16th September with Danielle Daley & Daina Cannon).
