I was a Med student at Oxford for a month! Reflecting on my Ophthalmology elective program.
I was selected for a medical elective in ophthalmology at Oxford University in 2022. The elective involved spending a month amongst some of the biggest names in ophthalmology, learning new surgical skills and exploring Oxford in my free time. It was an incredible experience and one I would recommend to any South African or international medical student in whichever discipline they may prefer.
