Helmet Cam - Brush Fire In Dense Vegetation Threatens Structure

On 2-27-24, Silver City Brush 1 and 8 Responded to a brush fire threatening a house. Upon arrival Mannford and Olive VFDs were requested to assist with manpower and water supply. Brush 8 crew used a combination of hand crew and engine company tactics to defend the house on the south flank while Olive Brush 1 and Silver City Brush 1 defended on the west. Mannford crews and later Silver City Brush 7 tied in the last of the backing fires and secured the southern line while Brush 8 transitioned to overhaul and put in leaf blower lines between the fire front and the house.
