PLASTİK LİMİT DENEYİ, ZEMİN MEKANİĞİ, ZEMİN KIVAM LİMİTLERİ, DETERMINITION PLASTİC LIMIT OF SOIL.

PLASTİK LİMİT DENEYİ; 0,425mm elek altında kalan numune, saf su ile çamur haline getirildikten sonra 24 saat dinlenmeye bırakılır. Daha öncesinde likit limit deneyi yapılmışsa, artan numune plastik limit tayini için kullanılabilir. Numune kıvamı, likit kıvamdan daha yoğun olmalı bunun için de likit limit deneyinden artan numune laboratuvar ortamında açıkta 1-2 saat bekletilerek yoğunlaştırılır. Numune, yuvarlama yöntemi ile 3mm çaplı, yaklaşık 10cm uzunluğunda elde edilir ve numune üzerinde kılcal çatlamalar gözlenir. Bu durum numunenin plastik kıvamdan yarı katı kıvama geçtiği limit(sınır) değerdir. Bu hale getirilen üç numunenin ortalama su muhtevası bulunarak plastik limit değeri belirlenir ve zeminin sınıflandırması yapılır. Yuvarlama sırasında 3mm de kılcal çatlama gözlenmiyorsa elle yoğurularak fazla su uçurulur ve deney tekrarlanır. 3 mm den önce kırılmalar gözleniyorsa numuneye bir miktar saf su ilave edilerek tekrar yoğurulur ve deney tekrarlanır. DETERMINITION PLASTİC LIMIT OF SOIL; The soil sample remaining under a 425micron IS sieve is left to rest for 24 hours after turning it into mud with distilled water. If a liquid limit test has been performed before, the remaining sample can be used for plastic limit determination. The sample consistency should be denser than the liquid consistency. For this reason, the sample left over from the liquid limit test is kept in the open air for 1-2 hours and concentrated. The sample is obtained by the rounding method with a diameter of 3mm and a length of about 10cm, and capillary cracks are observed on the sample. This is the limit (limit) value where the sample passes from plastic consistency to semi-solid consistency. By finding the average water content of the three samples, the plastic limit value is determined and the soil is classified. If no capillary cracking is observed at 3mm during rolling, excess water is evaporated by hand kneading and the experiment is repeated. If fractures are observed before 3 mm, some distilled water is added to the sample and kneaded again and the experiment is repeated.
