CUSTOM PATTERNS FOR SMART DOLL : PART 1 // TAPE SLOPER Hello everyone!! This video will mark the start of a mini series where I show y'all how I make four sets of pattern slopers for my Smart Doll! These methods are universal and can be used to get patterns for any doll/bjd ! This is for those of you who are always asking for patterns lolll ;P The pattern sets we get from this will be: 1. Basic 2- Dart Sloper with one dart CB piece 2. Princess seam Sloper set 3.One piece 2-dart shorts sloper 4. Two piece shorts slopers! By the end of the series these pattern sets will become the base patterns for future videos! If you follow along and create your own, It'll make it easy for you to recreate the garments I plan to sew in future videos! I will be using these patterns and showing you how to manipulate them in order to create new styles! It's going to be a blast! What are pattern slopers? A sloper pattern (home sewing) or block pattern (industrial production) is a custom-fitted, basic pattern from which patterns for many different styles can be developed! The first part of the series just dives into the tape method and how/where to cut ! If you follow along you'll end up with he tape sloper sets ! Do keep them safe in a ziplock bag or sheet protector until part 2 is out! In part two we trace the tape slopers and label them :) Don't use the tape slopers to sew just yet!! You may distort the shape and ruin your hard work! Be gentle with them and keep them some place safe :) Please check these ladies out and give their videos a like!
