Shore Fishing UK | Catching Rays on Shakespeare Beach, Dover

The Thornback Rays had started to turn up around the Kent coast in numbers but the weather wasn't that Charming. I wanted to get out and fish for some rays in the sea around Herne Bay but because of a brisk northerly wind I decided to find shelter on the southern side of the county and Headed for Shakespeare Beach, Dover. I met Mark at the parking spot and we started fishing the beach just after high. we only fished for a short session, 3 and a half hours to be precise but the fishing was good and it was a steady flow of bite throughout the afternoon with some good fish caught too.
