Hello and welcome to ollisTubes. I'm Oliver, and today we're playing around with sand technology from the late 1970s. I've already shown you in previous videos about the Marantz SR2000 that power supply capacitors and the maximum permissible operating voltage of STK hybrid power amplifiers can be at their limits or even exceeded even at 220V mains voltage. Today, the mains voltage is 230V with a tolerance of 10% – this means the mains voltage can also be as high as 253V, which isn't particularly beneficial for the lifespan of these devices. Therefore, the core of this video is to show how to convert a 220V device to 230V. If this is interesting to you, then stay tuned and see what happens next. We want to do the following: 1. Adapt the device to 230V mains voltage. 2. Remove any tinkering. 3. Clean.
