Vivianite is a crystal of the darkness. From a physical point of view when first mined it is almost colourless but when it is exposed to light, especially from the sun, it starts to change to a rich green or blue until it eventually moves to almost blackness. For this reason, Vivianite should be kept in a silk bag or protected box and only brought on when needed for workings after sunset. Vivianite is great for meditation, allowing the quieting of the mind and creating an openness to receive messages.
