Jardin de Normandie : le Bois des Moutiers

Normandy is brimming with treasures, especially its gardens... and what gardens they are! The Bois des Moutiers is no exception. Masterfully managed by Antoine Bouchayer-Mallet, under the watchful eye of his mother who recently completed a comprehensive botanical inventory of the garden, this illustrious dynasty of gardeners continues its work. Varengeville has become a renowned garden destination in just a few decades. However, don't plan to visit them all in a single day; their sheer abundance would leave you disappointed. The Bois des Moutiers is a cohesive whole: a subtle, ahead-of-its-time blend of the work of an architect (Edwin Lutyens) and a landscape designer, Gertrud Jekyll. Nothing is left to chance in this estate where Art Nouveau and the golden ratio coexist, alongside a majestic park and a rose garden... For garden enthusiasts, it's a dream come true. Don't even think about asking Antoine when the garden is at its most beautiful; he'll tell you it's always magnificent, and it's true... The film is therefore a bit like the garden itself, timeless since we were lucky enough to film it in autumn, spring, and at the end of winter. This virtual stroll will thus unfold amidst blazing maples, bursting magnolias, and multicolored rhododendrons. Our eyes haven't quite recovered yet. http://www.boisdesmoutiers.com www.parcsetjardins.fr/.../les_jardins_du_bois_des_moutiers-955.html http://www.jardin-jardinier.com http://www.normandie-tourisme.fr/lieu...
