Oh My Love - Coby Grant and Ruby Gill (live at Aviary Recording Studios)

I'm 32 years old. I've been in love and although that ended in terrible heart break I feel so incredibly lucky to have experienced that all consuming, can't stop thinking about them, passionate, giddy love. As I've gotten older, I've wondered if maybe that's not the kind of love that can last a lifetime. Maybe it's more of a slow burn, a friendship first, mutual respect and common values. I don't know. Who does? I've got single friends, married friends, long term relationship friends, open relationship friends. All with their own pros and cons. We are all just trying to connect, to love and to feel loved. What I do know is that I've made alot of mistakes (that I've learnt from) along the way in life and love. I wrote this song about a relationship that went on far too long. In hindsight I knew we weren't right for each other but I was SO SCARED of being 30 and alone (god/society forbid), I just wanted him to fit into this mould. That wasn't fair. I'm sorry about that. We did share alot of laughs and good music though. I wrote this with Ruby Mary, an incredibly talented friend and fellow musician who features in the video. It was recorded at The Aviary Recording Studio by Fraser Montgomery. Filmed by Delsinki - thank you for capturing the raw emotion of it. Coloured by Pete Pilley. I hope you guys like it, it's really how I feel. Sometimes, I am scared. Love Cobes x
