Peter's Confession: How the Father revealed the Truth to him

How the Father went about revealing the truth to Peter which he confessed to Jesus. The Father Himself testified to who Jesus was by speaking His words through Jesus and doing His works through the man Jesus. In this way, Jesus was a man attested by God (Acts 2:22) to the people of Israel including the Jews who killed him, and to Jew Simon Peter. The Jewish religious leaders refused to believe their own God's testimony about Jesus (John 5:32,37), but unlike them, the Jew Simon Peter did indeed believe the Father's testimony concerning Jesus. They will all be taught of God and the Father taught Simon Peter through the things He said and did through the man Jesus. In this way, Simon heard and learned from the Father that Jesus was sent by God, the promised Christ, the son of the Living God. He did not learn this from men but learned this from God Himself who testified to who Jesus was by speaking through Jesus and doing his mighty works through Jesus. God the Father is light and he shined through Jesus, "I am the light of the world" John 8:12. If you follow Jesus, the Father will testify concerning you too, "You are the light of the world" - Matthew 5:14.
