Truck Trailer Coupling - Decoupling + vehicle ownership in Godot 4.4
In this Godot 4.4 development update, I showcase several major gameplay systems that are coming together for the transport and vehicle simulation project. The video begins with a look at the train system running its morning schedule, demonstrating AI-operated railway traffic and daily world activity. Next, I introduce the truck trailer coupling and decoupling system, allowing players and AI vehicles to connect and disconnect trailers dynamically for cargo transport. The second half of the video focuses on vehicle ownership and player progression systems: • Vehicle access system • Vehicle dealership system • Dealership business mechanics • Car ownership system • Buying, owning, and managing vehicles These systems lay the foundation for a more immersive transport simulation where vehicles are persistent assets rather than temporary tools. Built with Godot 4.4. #Godot #GodotEngine #GameDev #IndieDev #SimulationGame #TruckSimulator #TransportSimulator #OpenWorld #GameDevelopment
