Why I Might Stay Home From Disney

My family has been planning a trip to Disney World, and they want me to go. But when we first started talking about this trip, I was still working full time, mowing the yard, and getting around a lot better than I do now. Today, COPD has changed what I can do. Some mornings I can barely walk to the mailbox without stopping to catch my breath. I love my grandchildren, but I don’t want to be the one who slows them down from having the time of their lives. This Coffee Break with Bryan talk is about COPD, getting older, pride, family, grandkids, and the hard decision of wanting to be there without feeling like a burden. If you’ve ever had to choose between your health and family memories, I’d like to hear your story. God bless.
