For one week during the May school holidays 2026, Southampton city centre was transformed into a mini Hollywood car show featuring replicas of some of the most famous vehicles from film and television history. From the Back to the Future DeLorean and the 1989 Batmobile to KITT from Knight Rider, the Mystery Machine, the Jurassic Park Jeep, Pixar Cars tributes and more — this outdoor exhibition beside West Quay drew huge crowds in blazing hot weather. In this video, I take a closer look at the cars themselves, the atmosphere surrounding the event, and why fictional vehicles continue to hold such a special place in popular culture decades later.
