Tube Stations Named After Pubs: Angel & Manor House

The London Underground is the oldest system of its kind in the world, with a history that stretches all the way back to 1863. Compared to many of the city's pubs though, it's a mere youngster! Many of London's pubs date back several centuries... so it's perhaps no surprise then that a number of tube stations are named after them. In part two of this series that explores the history behind these stations and pubs, we’ll be looking at two north London stalwarts: Angel and Manor House. I’d love to hear your thoughts on these locations. Do you remember Angel station when it had an island platform? Or perhaps you were lucky enough to attend a gig at the Manor House? Please be sure to let me know in the comments! As ever, I’d like to express a huge thanks to all of you who support this channel with kind words, subscriptions, likes and shares- I simply could not do this without you.
