A Laje mais colorida do Brasil - Laje de Santos - Novembro 2025 / WALVEE + PÉ DE PATO

Laje de Santos is one of the most fascinating places on the Brazilian coast. A stone outcrop that emerges in the middle of the Atlantic and houses one of the richest marine ecosystems in the State of Sao Paulo. It is a living laboratory, a territory where science, life, and diving meet. In this expedition, we set out from different points of the state towards the Laje de Santos Marine State Park. More than a diving operation, it was a crossing — an opportunity to revisit silence, meet friends again, and rediscover the pleasure of being underwater. This expedition is a celebration of human curiosity and respect for nature. Inspired by great scientific explorations and the spirit of Walvee Dives, it mixes the beauty of diving with the narrative of those who believe that exploring is also preserving. — Videos and images provided by Murillo Zerbinato — @zerbadiver Leandro Mello — @leandrinho_imagens Paulo Tamaki — @paulo_hideo_tamaki Photos and map of Laje de Santos Clecio Mayrink — @cleciomayrink Brasil Mergulho Website — www.brasilmergulho.com Diving operation and logistics Pe de Pato Operator — @pedepato_lajedesantos — Special thanks to all the divers who trusted Walvee Dives and were part of this journey. Each of you helped transform this trip into something that goes far beyond diving — a memory that, like the blue of the Laje, remains alive in the memory. Walvee Dives Laje Expedition — November/2025 Because exploring is also understanding the blue. :: About the city of Holambra :: The economy of Holambra is strongly sustained by flower farming and tourism associated with flowers, which represent the main vector of income generation and identity for the city. Holambra accounts for approximately 40% of the national production of flowers and ornamental plants, with the Veiling Holambra cooperative being the largest commercialization center in the sector in the country. This segment moves billions of reais per year and also boosts local commerce, hotels, and tourist events, such as Expoflora. On the other hand, it is honest to state that, although Holambra Alimentos operates in the slaughter and processing of poultry, this activity does not have a profound economic impact on the city when compared to the symbolic and financial weight of flower farming. From an ethical and environmental point of view, the impact of animal slaughter is significant, and contrasts with the nature of the municipality, widely recognized for its flowers and for the experience of well-being it offers to visitors and residents. Still, it is relevant to highlight that Holambra is a city that people seek out to see, celebrate, and buy flowers, not for activities linked to animal slaughter.
