Bradley was equally tragic when it broke apart in Lake Michigan in another terrible November storm, this one on November 18, 1958. Of the 35 men aboard, two survived a frightening all-night ride in a life raft in 25-ft. seas with freezing wind and temperatures that haunted the survivors for 15 hours before they were rescued. Of the 33 men who died, 23 of them were from Rogers City, Michigan where one funeral after another affected the small lake town for decades to come.
