Maheshwar Thounaojam Calls for Accountability of Security Personnel Over Kanto Sabal Incident RPI (Athawale) National Secretary Maheshwar Thounaojam has called for action against security personnel who, he alleged, failed to prevent the burning of Meitei houses at Kanto Sabal in Imphal West. Speaking during a visit to inspect the site where six Meitei houses were reportedly set ablaze, Thounaojam said he had discussed the matter with Union Minister of State Ramdas Athawale and expressed concern over the response of the security forces deployed in the area. He also referred to the recent visit of Lok Sabha MP Bimol Akoijam to Kanto Sabal and emphasized the need for impartial and effective security measures. Maheshwar Thounaojam warned that any perception of bias among security forces could have serious repercussions for peace and stability in the state.
