L'appel de l'instinct dans Zelda : Breath of the Wild.

I paused the "So... are you tempted?" format to release this video, which I really enjoyed making. I'm taking this opportunity to mention something I wanted to include in the video, but I felt it was too much, so here it is: I'd like to explain why I think Nintendo held a conference on Zelda: Breath of the Wild 18 years after the last one (the one about Iwata in 2005 doesn't really count in my opinion, since it doesn't have the same vibe as the others, even though I really like it). And this is where it might sound strange, but I just want to thank the Wii U for its failure. Because without it, we certainly wouldn't have had this conference. Why? For two reasons: first, because Nintendo was aware of their poor communication surrounding the Wii U. And naturally, they didn't want to repeat that mistake, so they opted for complete transparency regarding their next console, the Nintendo Switch. This transparency involved a plethora of interviews and a presentation video clearly showcasing the console's hybrid system, without any ambiguity like with the Wii and Wii U. And second, it happened right in the middle of the game's development. Things were progressing smoothly for the game's March 3, 2017 release on the Wii U, and one day the developers received an email. It was from Aonuma, you know, the one who's always around to talk about Zelda games. The kind of pressure they must have faced... So, the game that was originally intended to be exclusive to the Wii U became the flagship title for the Switch launch, and since they wanted complete transparency for the console, this conference was the perfect opportunity to discuss it. And believe me, for Nintendo to attend these kinds of events to explain their development process, especially for a Zelda game, it shows they were truly committed to being completely transparent in their communication at the time. So thank you for that, because these kinds of presentations are a goldmine for developers and anyone who's curious.
