We finally made our long-awaited second visit to HillBilly Camping, located on the lakeshore of Hinuma Lake in Ibaraki Prefecture. There are only five auto campsites, and each one is right in front of the lake, offering amazing views. The atmosphere of the campground feels like an American beach — very stylish and relaxed. On top of that, everything is kept clean and the facilities are excellent. You can really feel the owner’s hospitality in many places. Because it’s right by the lake and the number of sites is limited, the campground has a calm and gentle vibe, which is very appealing. Thanks to all these wonderful features, just being here is healing. It’s such a charming and amazing campground that it’s actually hard to get a reservation.
