In this video I share the true story of how a cancelled holiday to Fiji in 1980 unexpectedly changed the course of my life. What began as a last-minute decision to join a tour to Bangkok, Pattaya and Hong Kong led to meeting my future husband, building a family, becoming a Thai citizen, and creating a life in Thailand that has lasted more than four decades. Looking back, it's hard not to believe in fate. If that Fiji trip had gone ahead, I may never have set foot in Thailand and my life would have taken a completely different path.
