It's better to place your custom files in the inverter_definitions/custom/ directory rather than directly in inverter_definitions, as I did in the video. Placing them in the custom folder ensures that your changes will persist after the update. We'll do this entirely software-based and discuss simple automation using HomeAssistant and Solarman integration. Additionally, we'll need to expand the Solarman integration and add our own definition for the entity, which isn't provided by default by the developer! This approach ensures complete disconnection from the grid, without additional investments in automatic transfer switches (ATS) or additional remotely controlled contactors. There's no need to modify the electrical wiring leading to the inverter.
