I Found a 100+ Year Old Grandma Cafe in Japan
In this video I randomly discover a hidden grandma café in Japan while walking through a quiet neighborhood. The owner is an incredibly kind grandmother in her 80s who has been running this small café that has been in her family for over 100 years. While I was there she served me toast and breakfast, took photos like she does with all of her customers, and shared stories about her life and the restaurant. I felt like I needed to give something back, so I left to buy her a small gift. When I returned with sake and chocolates she was completely surprised and emotional. She even gave me something very personal in return. Moments like this are why I love exploring Japan and meeting local people. These are the kinds of hidden places and genuine experiences you can only find when you wander into random shops. Subscribe for more POV food adventures around Japan.
