SEAtoSUMMIT Ether Light XT Extreme sleep pad. Lab testing v. Sea to Summit mats and field test

The new 10 cm thick Sea to Summit Ether light XT Extreme sleeping pad, or camping mattress, represents a significant investment in cost, bulk in your pack and weight compared to less insulated models. I wanted to find out if it was not just comfortable on paper, but would there be actually less pressure getting through to the ground when I lay on it, compared to the Sea to Summit comfort light insulated and the comfort plus. All of these are great mats, but would the extreme prove worth its promise.
