Music: Alberto Pisa Allué Isidro's Garden is a series of documentaries that show the traditional cultivation process of different vegetables, greens, and fruits. The images were recorded in the town of Poleñino, province of Huesca, Spain. Isidro's Garden is intended as a tribute to my parents. My father, Isidro Pisa Cambra, was two years old when the Spanish Civil War broke out. The postwar period wasn't easy either, and even as a child, he had a strong sense of responsibility: at nine, he would go alone into the mountains to look for mushrooms and snails, which he would later sell, thus contributing to the family income. From his childhood, he was plagued by the fact that he had only been able to complete primary school. So, now married, with children, and working mornings and afternoons, he returned to school, working the night shift at a secondary school. After completing high school, he enrolled in the Distance Learning University, earning a law degree... becoming a gardener and lawyer, or vice versa, depending on how you look at it. Of course, it's also essential to acknowledge my mother, Celia Allué Bailo, a tireless worker who helped create a family and a home, the indispensable pillar of her livelihood.
