What to Put in Your First Parent Email *Plus* a Potty Training 1-Pager

I like to send a quick back-to-school email to the parents and caretakers of my new students about 3-4 weeks before the first day of school. I like to let the parents know where to find the school supply list and any other important things they may be thinking of now. I will send a Welcome letter with all the paperwork and important reminders a little over a week before, but this email is very specific. In this video, I tell you what I like to include in the first parent letter and how I especially talk about potty training since it is a requirement for the 3-4's and 4-5's. I figure that giving them a month to really work on this essential life skill and all it entails is a good amount of time. I also include a 1-page note about what I specifically mean when I say "potty trained" so that we are all on the same page.
