'French-stitches' or 'double stitches', on top decorative stitches which someway with its backing reinforce the blind stitch. It is done with a sewing machine. 'Flat-felled stitches', another decorative stitches which go on top and really strong to reinforce the blind stitch. It is also done with a sewing machine. 'Welting or piping', a decorative trim which folds or wraps a plastic pipe and is added between to the blind stitch. It also reinforces and helps to give shape to our upholstery projects. 'Binding' or 'border' is another decorative trim that consists in a piece or strip of material (leather, vinyl,fabric, etc). It goes folded over and sewn along the edges of some parts of our upholstery projects. Do not forget that these 'sewings and trims' would be found anywhere you go...I mean America, Europe or Asia.
